East Ridge High School wins Community Engagement Award at Spotlight 2010

Hennepin Theatre Trust has bestowed their Community Engagement Award on East Ridge High School's production of Seussical: the Musical! for their literacy campaign for the district's third graders.  Hundreds of third graders from around the district participated by reading books for one month and keeping track of the number of pages read.  Each building sent two top readers who were given a t-shirt, backstage tour and a place in the opening of the show.

We are proud of our campaign and plan to continue with Disney's Beauty and the Beast this fall!

Free One-Act production of A Midsummer Night's Dream

Just wanted to invite you all to attend free send-off performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream this Monday and Tuesday, July 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.  EHS will be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on August 3.  They are performing at their sister high school, EASTVIEW in Apply Valley because Music Man is currently playing on our stage at Eagan.  If you get a chance, come over and catch a high-energy show filled with dance, whimsical costumes and original music.
